Mexico’s Aeronautical Industry to Benefit from New Industrial Production Facility in Querétaro, Mexico [2]
The Spanish-Franco-German company, Eurocopter, will open a new facility in Querétaro, Mexico. [3] The industrial production facility will be located in the Aerotech Park in close proximity to the Querétaro International Airport. Eurocopter constructs civil and military helicopters to be distributed all over the world. Serge Durand, the Eurocopter de Mexico chief executive officer, stated, “We strongly believe in the future success of this new facility. Such high tech value work packages will feed Eurocopter’s supply chain in Europe.” Eurocopter’s executive vice president, Dieter John, commented on the opening of the new facility by saying, “Eurocopter’s initial investment in the facility is the equivalent of approximately U.S. $ 100 million.” He went on to claim, “In the long-term, Mexico will benefit from investments amounting to as much as $550 million, driven by the Querétaro plant’s future development, along with overall growth of Eurocopter de Mexico’s activities and the expected arrival of additional suppliers and subcontractors in the region.” This new industrial development in Querétaro, Mexico [4] will contribute to the overall livelihood of the Mexican economy, especially the Mexican aeronautical industry [3].
