Increased Energy Consumption in Mexico Creates Demand for New Powervar Plant
Powervar, a worldwide power conditioning and power protection company based in Waukegan, Illinois, is expanding business in Mexico by opening a new office in Mexico City, Mexico. Hector Castillo has become the Country Manager for Powervar Mexico. The opening of Powervar’s new office in Mexico City is part of their ongoing goal to increase their power protection services on an international level. The demand for electricity in Mexico is continuing to grow as the nation’s position in the world economy grows, expands and diversifies. Powervar Mexico has been established as a subsidiary of Powervar, Inc, based in North America, and is in charge of all of the company’s business and service activities in Mexico.
The Energy Secretariat (SENER) anticipates that energy consumption in Mexico will increase by 3.3 percent every year for the next 10 years. In regards to Powervar’s new office located in Mexico, their Vice President of Sales, Tom Gornick stated, “We have high expectations for success of our new operation in Mexico. Our strategic approach is to place sales and support facilities where our OEM partners conduct business, just as we have in other regions of the world. Powervar is prepared to meet the growing demands and global expansion of our business partners.”
