Anthony Bourdain Amazed by Cuisine of Baja California
It takes a lot to surprise Anthony Bourdain, host of the Travel Channel’s “No Reservations,” as he has traveled the world tasting the world’s finest cuisine. Yet, for Bourdain’s first trip to Baja California the experience “was a real education.”
The American chef spoke to the blog "She Knows" about the historical experience of visit Baja California saying,
“Baja was a real education to me. I had no idea, it would be that beautiful, the food would be that good, the ingredients would be that exciting, that they are creating this Amazonian world down there. I was shocked by how delicious the food was and that they had a wine country!”
Bourdain went on to explain that Baja California is next to Mozambique has one of the most interesting destinations on the new season of his long running program, which is heading into the 8th year.
Mexico has been receiving some serious camera time, as this is not the only program giving Mexican cuisine international exposure. Other television shows like "Mexico One Plate at a Time" of KPBS with Chef Rick Bayless and Chef Ricky Chaves Achilles from the Latin network Utilísima have seen great success as well.
